Program Partners to Syndicate Teen Hit Degrassi in the U.S.

LOS ANGELES, September 25: Program Partners has acquired the U.S. broadcast syndication rights to Degrassi: The Next Generation to run as a strip beginning in the fall of 2007.

Degrassi: The Next Generation is a runaway hit on The N, the nighttime digital cable network for teens owned by MTV Networks.

Degrassi is lightning in a bottle, said Josh Raphaelson of Program Partners. The N has built a terrific franchise, and were excited to bring it to syndication.

Degrassi: The Next Generation has an extremely loyal audience, and ratings consistently outperform expectations, said Sarah Tomassi Lindman, the VP of production and programming for The N. This show works everywhere.
