Dundee’s Degrassi star in poignant episode

Though she can’t give away the storyline, New Dundee’s Christina Schmidt, 16, is proud of her role in tonight’s (Wednesday’s) episode of Degrassi:The Next Generation.

Airing on CTV (Channel 12 locally), the episode revolves around the character Schmidt has played the last three years — Terri — who is involved in an abusive relationship.

The Cameron Heights student — and graduate of New Dundee Public School — has been acting since age seven. She is also part of the new Degrassi video for UNICEF which will be shown in every school in Canada.
