NEW YORK, July 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — The N, the nighttime network for tweens and teens, has signed on as the exclusive TV sponsor of General Growth Properties (GGP) The Scene Tour and will bring stars from its hit teen drama, Degrassi: The Next Generation, to malls across the country this summer. The Scene, now in its fifth year, is an award-winning, back-to-school, in-mall event comprised of various “scenes” that showcase the lifestyle and trends of today’s teens. Other event partners include, Pepsi, CosmoGIRL!, Cotton Inc., Joico, Fuji and the DK BMX Bike Team.

The N’s Degrassi Scene will feature an autograph area where teens can meet stars from the hit teen drama Degrassi, a trivia center where they can win exclusive merchandise from Degrassi and The N and an area where they can enter to win a walk-on part on the show.

The N will bring two different Degrassi stars to each of The Scene’s twelve main event malls. The 12 event malls include:

In other ‘Scenes,’ teens will have the chance to visit the Pepsi Smash screening party, step inside the CosmoGIRL! Cool Room!, view the 2004 Kiss of Approval award winners and watch DK BMX bike stunt shows take place inside the mall.

Degrassi: The Next Generation, a spin-off of the award-winning Degrassi High and Degrassi Junior High, introduces a new generation of kids going through the trials and tribulations of adolescence in the 21st century at the newly refurbished Degrassi Community School. The series follows Emma (Miriam McDonald), Ashley (Melissa McIntyre), Paige (Lauren Collins), Manny (Cassie Steele), Ellie (Stacey Farber), Craig (Jake Epstein), Jimmy (Aubrey Graham), Sean (Daniel Clark), Hazel (Andrea Lewis), Liberty (Sarah Barrable Tishauer), Spinner (Shane Keppet), Marco (Adamo Ruggiero), Toby (Jake Goldsbie), J.T. (Ryan Cooley) and Terri (Christina Schmidt) as they journey through high school.

The fourth season of Degrassi: The Next Generation will premiere on October 1 at 8:00 p.m. (ET) on The N. Degrassi airs regularly Friday nights at 8:00 p.m. (ET) and 10:00 p.m. (ET) on The N.
