FAMOUS PLAYERS HOLDS FIRST ANNUAL
CELEBRITY DIRECTORS CHAIR ON-LINE AUCTION

February 8, 2005 (Toronto) Famous Players, Canadas largest theatrical exhibitor, in partnership with the Directors Guild of Canada – Ontario, are pleased to announce the First Annual Celebrity Directors Chair On-line Auction in support of Variety The Childrens Charity, to help children with special needs across Canada. The auction will run from February 9th (NOON) until February 28th, 2005 (NOON). Participants may bid on items such as autographed directors chairs and other memorabilia. The auction consists of authentic, autographed directors chairs as well as other movie and television memorabilia, all signed by Canadian and International celebrities. Some of the directors chairs up for auction are from the sets of Lucky Number Slevin, Land of the Dead, West Wing, and Degrassi: The Next Generation. Viggo Mortensen, David Cronenberg, Bruce Willis, Sir Ben Kingsley, and Morgan Freeman are just some of the celebrities who have signed a chair.

This on-line auction will help us raise much needed funds for Variety The Childrens Charity, said Nuria Bronfman, Vice-President of Corporate Affairs for Famous Players. Over the past two years we have collected more than one million dollars through Varietys Gold Heart Campaign. We hope this auction will add to that total.

Variety The Childrens Charity is a charitable organization dedicated to helping children with special needs and their families throughout Canada. The organization strives to ensure a better quality of life for these children through the provision of goods and services.
