MONTREAL Buzzed-about Toronto rapper Drake has pulled out of Lil Wayne’s Young Money: America’s Most Wanted Tour, which will be hitting the Bell Centre in Montreal Wednesday evening.

Drake, who tore a knee ligament on stage during a show in Camden, N.J., last weekend, made the announcement Tuesday night following his surprise appearance at the Toronto stop of the tour, telling the crowd at the Molson Amphitheatre it was his final appearance on the tour before undergoing knee surgery.

Even though he has yet to release a proper album, the former Degrassi: The Next Generation star born Aubrey Drake Graham has been the talk of the rap world this year, spurred on by a handful of acclaimed mixtapes and his first official single, Best I Ever Had, which has been one of the hottest songs of the summer.
