Long-running Canadian TV show Degrassi has been able to enhance its visual appeal via the use of Red Cameras.
Effects studio Keyframe Digital Productions has praised the camera work on the teen drama series after being hired to provide visual enhancements for the tenth season of the show.
Clint Green, visual effects supervisor at Keyframe, said the team was hired once the producers decided to use the Red Camera, which he said has given the programme a “whole new look”.
“The clean, crisp and vibrant images shot by our director of photography, Alwyn Kumst, have expanded the show’s visual quality that in turn triggered discussions about how to expand the Degrassi world,” he explained.
Keyframe explained that the high-quality camera work made it easier for the studio to implement effects work such as extending street angles and creating new locations via green screens.
This comes in the same month that director David Fincher’s movie The Social Network, which was shot using a Red Camera, was released in cinemas.ADNFCR-3054-ID-800134893-ADNFCR
