Degrassi Alumni Share Interest In Classic Cars
Mr. Raditch and Joey Jeremiah” From Canadas Award-Winning Degrassi Television Series to Offer Their Collector Cars at Canadas Largest Classic Car Auction at The International Centre, Mississauga, Ontario April 15-17th, 2005
TORONTO, Ontario, Canada (April 7, 2005) As a rite of spring, hundreds of classic cars are being brought out of hibernation for the pilgrimage to RMs Toronto International Spring Classic Car Auction April 15, 16 & 17. Up to 500 classics, sports and muscle cars are expected to up for bids and on display indoors at the International Centre, on Airport Road, Mississauga.
Fellow actors Dan Woods and Pat Mastoianni from Canadas award winning TV drama Degrassi will both be offering cars for auction at this annual weekend event. Dan Woods whose role as Degrassi teacher Mr Raditch reunites at this Toronto auction with his on-screen student Joey Jeremiah, played by actor Pat Mastroianni. Woods, who is now host of Speed Channels popular show Chop-Cut-Rebuild has consigned his radical custom Ford Ranger pickup that was a featured project on the first CCR show. Ironically, Mastroianni now plays a teacher on the continuation series Degrassi:The Next Generation. Pat’s car, a 1973 Mustang Mach I, shared screen time with his character Joey and will be headed for the auction block as well.
Also headlining this exciting sale is a specially built 1992 AC Cobra Roadster formerly from Toronto Maple Leafs Captain Wendel Clarks collection and a variety of 23 museum quality classics from the private Evergreen Museum Collection and include such prestigious marques as Rolls Royce, Packard, Hudson, Lincoln and Cadillac and rare Indiana-built autos from the golden era such as Erskine and Marmon. This group of desirable automobiles will be offered to buyers and collectors without reserve.
The Toronto International Spring Classic Car Auction kicks off with a vehicle preview Friday, April 15th at 12:00 noon, followed by the auction beginning at approximately 3:00 pm. Doors open at 9:00 am on Saturday and Sunday, with auction action starting at 10:00 am each day, and ending at 9:00 pm Saturday and 6:00 pm on Sunday. In addition to the cars, a huge assortment of collectable automobilia, including tin signs, toys, memorabilia, pop machines and antique gas pumps, will also be offered on the auction block.
